Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Time Remaining: Errr..... maybe you should come back tomorrow....

    :D

It does look utterly incredible though. The amount of work that must have gone into that boggles the mind

GTAIV was highly enjoyable, but it was marred by the fact it was so poorly optimized.
At the time, I had two GTX285's in SLI, 6GB of DDR3 and a Core i7 clocked at 4.2Ghz.
And it still ran jittery.... wtf?

I hope that along with all the graphics improvements, the mod team have optimized those rotten textures, and perhaps cleaned up the code so it runs somewhat decent on PC.

Performance issues for the majority of people were fixed by patch 1.0.0.4

Not sure if I had that patch, although I had bought it through Steam, so I assume I would have had it.

    That is ridiculously good!

What do you think would be the minimum requirements on your pc to play at that frame rate?

I'd love to get this but i think my laptop couldn't handle it. :/

Well it fairly ****s over my machine, i get about 20-25fps int he daytime and 30fps at night.
Ive got an ATI 4870 1gb (id say a card with 1gb ram is essential really)
A minimum of 4GB system ram, and at least a quad core cpu. The i5's or i7's would do well too.

Its stunning tho. Ive done a few videos of it in action

and a few resized photos to avoid page stretching

This looks incredible. I was going to try and complete GTA IV again, which I haven't done since it's been released. I'll definitely download this before I do, it will be like playing a completely new game!
