Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just came pack in to see a rider preety much under the crowd barriers. Anyone else involved?
Nope...just himself...there was a team mate with him when the cameras got to it but think that was more him stopping to check on him!

This 30% time limit thing. Could this see Boonon out of the tour, as he's currently 12 minutes behind the pack, or can he use the crash as a defence?

David Harmon just tweeted this site - amazing. Live SRM data linked to Google maps in real time http://data.srmlive.de/TDF/

Said it could be left up to the director to decide if he ends up outside it!

Thomas Voeckler should launch a brand of edible handlebar tape.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

That was mad....he was def behind around 10 riders with a couple of hundred metres to go and just destroyed them again!

He had a 4 or 5 bike lead by the looks of things, and then appeared to be swallowed up by the casing pack. He sprinted back well though from almost no where.

Or was it Goss with the lead ;)

It was Martin flying away on him own!

Looking at it seems like Cav seemed to sit up a bit....giving them false hope that he was gone maybe?!

Cav's interview was interesting, there all out to get him, even the tour organisers!

    Great win anyways.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

Well Cav didn't complain bout the intermediate but still managed to give out bout not being able to defend himself after getting penalised the other day!

I think he could be safe coming in 13 minuted down! Think Harmon said something like is the average speed was 35k/ph your allowed to be 3% down! But the speed was much quicker so it's a higher %

Eventful stage to say the least with all the crashes. Unreal finish from Cav who seemed to be nowhere near the front during the closing stages.

Rojas and Boonen DQ from intermediate sprint today, Gilbert in Green.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 349 ✭✭SACH Central

Was G Thomas leading out Cav for the sprint? He'll be doing it for real next year!

Thomas is having a great first if he wasn't riding for either Wiggins or EBH he could be in yellow maybe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,456 ✭✭✭✭ednwireland

There was a change to the green jersey classification after some questionable sprinting from the field for sixth place on the intermediate sprint point, Boonen and points leader Rojas were both disqualified for the bonus points. The seven points Rojas lost in that decision dropped him behind Gilbert in the green jersey competition, but the call was only made after the podium presentation had taken place

not suprising pretty crap sprinting from the pair of them
