Surf - Punk, ripping melodies, and handsome hillbilly songs are what make up northern lightning racket " Rural Savage". Cack-handed spiritual cackophany of the most selfish kind. Nothing too political and nothing too clever. Sniggering dullards adrift on tides of their own psychic sewage. Too legit to quit, this shower of Teenage Mutant Ditch Dwellers don't even need the journalistic aplomb they're bound to receive from the worlds music press. They're sneering attempts to make friends with their instruments are matched only by their retarded ambition and sloppy trousers. Ludicrous hyper-adjectives don't do justice to this smelly assortment of lunatic half-wits

A who’s–who of the Boston roots music scene where players swap songs and instruments; a suitcase drum kit, an old electric bass, a field organ and a collection of acoustic instruments in a unique format which feels fantastically theatrical. Featuring current and former members of Treat Her Right, The The, Patty Griffin Band and Aimee Mann Band. Session Americana are joined by Donegal song–writer, Finbarr Doherty for the July 19 concert.

    Damien O’Kane

Damien O’Kane is earning a growing reputation for being a creative and exciting musician and singer. His banjo playing in particular has led him to being regarded as one of the finest Irish players on the scene today and he’s winning accolades as a singer, focusing on songs from his native Northern Ireland.

He is probably best known for his work with Shona Kipling and Flook but has recently been a full-time member of Kate Rusby’s band.
Damien released his debut solo album Summer Hill on May 3, 2010 on the Pure Records label.

    The%20Ralphs%202.JPG

The Ralphs from Tuam, Co. Galway play gutsy rock n'roll - bull**** need not apply.

Debuting in November 2008, The Ralphs are partly a family affair, with brothers Jamie (Vocals/Guitar) & Leigh Ralph (Drums), their cousin Conor Ralph (Guitars), and friend Brian Ruane (Bass) forming the axis of the band. Their debut single in August 2009 'Waste of Time/Gunfire' earned them support slots with the likes of Delorentos, Jape, Fred, Ham Sandwich, and The Flaws, a session on 2fm, and also some nice words from the national press.

The Ralphs are looking onwards and upwards, after releasing their debut E.P, '21st Century Window' in September 2010 at a sold out gig at their 'home' venue Roisín Dubh.

Expect energy at their live shows, and if you're real lucky, chaos might even ensue.
