    Only noticed it today while driving from swords to howth, as best i could tell it looks like it's off the skerries coast or maybe a little further north, it looked like it was very tall

    Any idea's ?

    No definetly not, this was huge and was very tall, im guessing but it must have being close to 100m meters tall, i could have sworn it was a crane or pipe laying machine, im nearly certain it wasnt a passenger ship

    It's bringing in the pipes for eirgrid. Monstrous looking thing alright.

    I saw the top of it over the hills when I was driving home the other night, and couldn't for the life of me work our what it could be, given how tall it had to be. Anyway, for anyone that hasn't seen it:

    According to Wikipedia ( the source of all truth ) its the third largest floating crane in the world.

    As there are specialist cable and pipeline vessels it surprises me that its not putting something very very big on the seabed.

    Of course it could be recovering that hippo that was loose around the start of April

    Saw it myself on the train as it passed over Rogerstown estuary - t'is massive!
