Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Indeed, seen him a few times with a dog and rabbit begging for money.

    +1 for novelty.

I spotted a youtube clip by yourself doing the rounds on facebook and I had seen him that day - outside Croke Park after the Dublin v Killkenny game! I couldn't get over how quiet the rabbit was - just sitting in his lap!

Can't believe people would do something like that.

    Why were you chased away?

You were in a public place. I'm guessing you weren't disturbing the peace or causing an obstruction to the Gardai in their duties or an obstruction to the public.

Very curious. Bet you didn't stick around for a discussion on the matter?

I'm hearing more and more stories about how police, all over the place, are getting less and less fond of having their picture taken.

As mentioned, as long as you are not obstructing them or interfering in any way I'd have thought you were fully within your rights to snap away without being told to stop? Power trip me thinks?

A homeless man is to be honoured today for rescuing his pet rabbit from the River Liffey in Dublin.

John Patrick Byrne saved Barney after the animal was thrown over a bridge last week.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with a public order offence, as well as animal cruelty, in relation to the incident.

Mr Byrne will given an award for his actions by the Animal Rights Action Network this afternoon.
