Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pinlock Insert for Nitro Aikido Helmet?

    I'm after getting my hands on a shiny new Nitro Aikido. The visor is 'pinlock ready' but I can't seem to find anywhere that sells the inserts for this model.

    Now I'll openly admit that I don't have a clue when it comes to these things as I originally thought these inserts were universal but a lot of sites seem to list different inserts for different branded helmets.

    The only site I've found that is willing to sell me the above insert is www.thepinlockshop.co.uk. Has anyone ever used this site?

    Or would you knowledgeable people of boards.ie be able to tell of my any alternative places I can get my hands on an insert? The Aikido (and the Hellrazor) helmet seems to be in a world of it's own when it comes to these things..!

    Just bumping this to say I've ordered the pinlock insert with spare pins just to see how it goes.

    Am looking forward to hitting the road shortly. !

    I was meaning to update this thread.

    Top marks for thepinlockshop. Ordered on the Monday and the order arrived on Thursday. Everything fit like a glove and am still using the insert today.

    My alternative was having my local shop order a few inserts in but they would have cost a lot more.

    Thanks for the update! Did the insert come with little pins to install them, or did you had to buy them separately? I don't think it came with the helmet.

    Had to buy them seperately from the site. Can't remember how much they were but got two pairs.

    Thanks again. Debating between getting the insert or a dark visor. Although the good weather might disappear before it gets delivered..!

    I had the same predicament. Decided in the end to go with the insert as the Aikido fogs up like crazy. Stopped it dead in it's tracks too. Am happy with it.

    Why not just get a Clear insert and a Dark insert at the same time? Simples ;)
