    Is it possible, Say if I wanted shifts around college hours? Or is it a full time job?

    Generally in Ireland, it's not possible, the committment is pretty much 24/7 with some time off.
    Partial hours retained contracts are offered in the UK where they have difficulty sourcing enough staff, but that's not the case here.

    If your residence and college was within the response time / distance of the station you might be considered for a standard retained job, though this mightn't be great for your education if you were getting a lot of calls.
