Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dublin - Want to start singing for fun?

    Hi there

I enjoy singing for fun, and would consider myself to be reasonably ok at it - I usually don't cause any indigestion or nightmares :D.

I am looking for an outlet - a sort of group where we would meet once a week or so, to learn some contemporary songs, and sing just for the pleasure. Who knows what it might develop into.

So far all I have come across are choirs, which I am not interested in due to the religious aspect and/or the lengthy audition process.

I am based in Lucan and would like to connect with others who have a similar interest and would like to start something. We could organise a venue if there were enough people interested. A player of a musical instrument like keyboard or guitar would be a help - although I don't play any myself.

Once we become established, we could get some guidance from a singing teacher perhaps.

I am in my 30's, have very broad taste in music and would be open to most types of songs, from folk to rock to pop.

So, putting it out there, anyone interested? :)

Whoops sorry, I'm not sure how I managed to miss that in your first post. I've updated the thread title anyway to specify Dublin. Let me know if you want it changed.
