Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hello good people who still have bikes that weren't robbed by scumbags.

I need a new bike, so I'm looking for suggestions on who the best dealers are for Aprilia bikes in Dublin.

    Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated!

Dealer I'm not sure about, but there are usually a few Aprillias in Ducati Dublin.

Last time I checked, there were no Aprilia dealers in the Republic.
I had a small warranty issue last year with my Aprilia and I had to go to Crossan's in Newry.
Only an hour from Dublin if you ride without due care.

aren't bikeworld an aprilia dealer along with a few other makes? crossans are still the best option.

Bikeworld stopped selling Aprilia's a while ago. They were the first place I checked.

My advice is to avoid owning an Aprilia in Ireland full stop. I once waited 6 weeks for the Italian factory to send out an indicator lightbulb - absolutely riduculous. The lads in Bikeworld said HQ in Italy are an absolute nightmare for getting parts off and I am not surprised that the post above says Bikeworld no longer deal with them.

If you do get an Aprilia be prepared to import all your own parts yourself from the UK- there are a couple of good places (one is called Ultimate Parts IIRC) who are reasonable. Parts can be expensive for what they are, like €70 for a wing mirror.

I spoke with Bikeworld yesterday. They said the problems getting parts are resolved now & that they can get any parts I needed quite quickly.

But...they warned that getting the bike itself can take months.

    Sigh....

Amen. Even Ultimate Parts can fall foul of the Italians as well. It took me 5 month's to get an oil pump via them, including ringing the factory in Noale, Italy, directly.

    The part's weren't even dear.

And as for Aprilia - they make lovely machines, but as a company they haven't a clue. When was the last time you heard of Press fleet bikes blowing conrod's on a launch event ? (RSV-R) Can you imagine getting saddled (sic) with something like that ?

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
