Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Solicitor Fees - Re-Registering a Mortgage

    Hi there
Myself and my wife are recently married. We are looking to re mortgage my wife's house, and to add my name to the mortgage, as well as getting some extra funding for an extension.
Our broker has told us that we need to get a solicitor on board to re-register the mortgage. He also mentioned 'outlay', but I'm not sure in what context. The broker has called around some local solicitors, and got a quote of €1200. Is this a reasonable amount for this service (in Dublin), or should I be making some more calls for quotes?
    Thanks
    montac

PS - This my first time posting in this forum. I did a quick scan and search without much luck, so sorry if I am bringing up something that has been dealt with ad nauseum elsewhere...:o
