New route this year: http://dublinmarathon.ie/map+instructions11_10mile.pdf No Kyber pass... Miles 1-3 and 6-9 are almost completely flat or downhill. Means they will be keeping the park closed for a long time as they use the main avenue many times over course of the race.

McMillan says 1:18:12 for me based on past 2 runs so I'll go for sub 78!
(1:22:16 is my current PB so a 4min improvement is quite optimistic!)

My last race of this distance was very hilly (City2Surf) and hot, and that was 80min and a bit of change. However there was over 80,000 running that day, so I'm hoping the lack of crowds will help improve my time

Lack of crowds in the race series? doubt it. I did a 30,000 runner 10k a week before the race series 5 miler and it was much less crowded than the 6,000 runner 5 mile. Lets just say the traffic problem in some towns can be worse than in some big cities

You said 85 - 90 minutes in Courdellians log. Try harder and you can get close to 80 minutes.

One pint for 84 - 85:30
Two pints for 82:30 to 83:59
Three pints for 81:00 to 82:29
Four pintes for 80:59 or less
