Lovely day for it, if maybe a bit too warm for running. Congestion was a big issue for me, first mile was 1.30 slower than expected starting halfway back in wave 1. Which should have been right form expected time. Was expecting that though, bigger issue form me was mile 6, turn on to narrow path and loads of people seemed to be struggling and started walking and/or moving very slowly, but were still happy to stay in the middle of the path. Not ideal to be dodging in and out of people all the way along that section.

Still not much organisers can do about people ignoring their instructions. I thought it was really well organised. Only issue was the late start (PA problem/failure?) and the water stations not being where I thought they would be based on race info. Probably justnmissed the change. Wouldn't have noticed except it was so hot.

Enjoyable day all in all and their is a great athmosphere about the race series, which the big numbers add to it, you have to take the downsides with that.

Ran 3 or 4 mins slower than I'd have liked, but blaming that on the congestion, heat, wind, up and down course, any other excuses going?? Few people finishing around me seemed to be down a bit on expected times and a lot finding it very tough in last 5 miles, I thought I must have been going way faster in second half, but was just holding steady and everyone seemed to be going backward fast.

Saw someone fall on a speed bump in mile 2 and a few people go to pieces in mile 9 but all seemed minor enough.

Finished in 75:02.... I had predicted 79:59 so delighted with that! I stuck to my tactic from the 5 miler of starting at the front of wave 2. Gave me an open road for the first mile and by the time I caught wave 1 it was well spread out and not too hard to weave through! Great day overall. Well done to everyone who completed it!

finished in 71:10 had aimed for 74:59 so happy enough, really enjoyed the course didnt seem as overcrowded as the five miler well done to all involved

Finished in 76:30, so slightly faster than my predicted 78:00. Happy enough, was a lovely morning in the park. There was a good bit of congestion at the start, but I think I may have started a bit far back...

Predicted 84:30 finished it in around 75:15, given I have never run further than 10km before I am well chuffed with this, I set a 10km PB en route too! Bit of congestion starting in the middle of wave 1, some people in there who would be lucky to run it in sub 2 hours  probably cost me 30 secs odd, but all in all a great event and ecstatic with my 1st ever proper running race.

Congestion Bad (Better than 5 mile)
Weather good (Nice breeze at times)
New PB for me despite the app on my phone not working properly (New HTC Sensation Anyone using a good running app for that)

Organisers were great. Looking forward to Half marathon.

84:XX, waiting on chip time but happy out, never broke 92 before today and had 98 mins in a nightmare last year.

Excellent organization and savage weather, as with each of the 5 Frank Duffy races I've done up to now.

Finished in 82:44 - had predicted 85:00 after the 5-Mile but revised that to 83:00 this week after a strong workout on Tuesday.

I'm very disappointed with how I ran the race though. Was logging 8-minute miles for the first six miles which was just crazy & I knew it. But, like a fat kid with cake - I just couldnt stop myself!

I struggled home the last 3 miles with my last mile being my slowest of all (9mins) so although I'm delighted to have ran my first 10-miler, I'm annoyed with that lack of discipline.

Really enjoyed the day & would like to thank all organisers & volunteers alike.

1:36 for me. Bit slow by my own standards but I was surprised I made it around tbh. I hurt my ITB on Wednesday and had to stretch the hell out of it the last few days to make the run. Still a tad sore, and I had stitches from start to finish (which I never ever get!) so that didn't help.

Other than that, the course was nice, and the distance was pretty much bang on according to my GPS. Hills weren't bad. Bit of congestion as mentioned, and it was a bit annoying having to overtake so many people at mile five, but that's no new thing really.

    Thumbs up from me :D

87:34 for me (garmin time). Really happy with it, reckoned I'd do between 88 & 89. Congestion very bad for first mile and a half, and again around 6 miles when we went onto the path. I started way too far back though, couldn't get into the right wave. Also, very hot today, the breeze was very welcome around the 7 mile mark. Nice tshirt, well organised, all in all a good day :)

Managed 77:13 or thereabouts which I'm very happy with seeing as it's a PB by about five and a half minutes and that I had a 22 mile run on Wednesday!
My plan was to do a steady first 6 miles and a faster last 4 miles but I got them the wrong way around and ended up going off too fast before the legs started to remind me of Wednesday night and applied an imaginary hand brake for the last few miles!
Regardless, very happy with my run, the weather and especially the organisation - can't complain one bit really!

...well apart from seeing Woddle taking a tinkle up against a tree after 6.5 miles...."Put it away!"!

1:00:51 chip time - bloody delighted. A few harden the **** up moments where i made myself dig inside. Thanks to that guy in the blue bank of ireland athletic club singlet. At the 1st water station he ended up knocking the water out of all the stewards hands leaving me with no water and I said to myself 'the ****ing plonker can't beat me'. I held on til the last few hundred meters with him when he pulled more speed out.

That was quick getting the chip times up.

Only showing 5156 results. Thought there were closer to 6800 due to race. That is quite alot to drop out.

Delighted with my time of 1:23:10 6 min improvement in my PB

My Chip time didn't go off at the start, was 3/4 of the way down Wave 1, has me down as same time for chip time and finish time, not impressed. Glad I had my Garmin on so at least I know my correct time.

I feel bad complaining that my chip time 2s slower than what I clocked so! It does push me into a whole other minute after a mini sprint to the line though!

Great organisation - thanks to all the volunteers. It couldn't happen without them. Please consider helping sometime if you are not racing.

Minor quibble with the timing. At least two people who physically finished behind me are shown in the results as having finished ahead, both on actual finish time (not possible) and on chip time. Anyway, the photos will confirm it. But I am not too concerned - first time under the hour in the Phoenix Park and my best 10 mile time in 25 years.

Well organised race. A bit warm, and a bit of a delay at the start, but only a few minutes. More water stations wouldn't have hurt around mile 8, but overall a good event. Great atmosphere at the end. 1:03.26, which I'm happy enough with...must've been fairly close to Misty!

Great race and well organised, so well done to the organisers and marshals. Even the Irish summer was kind to us! I didn't notice the hills; it seemed like a fast course. I finished in 1:03:50, so delighted to break 64 mins. Felt very comfortable throughout, so probably could have pushed it a bit harder. Looking forward to a few post race beers now:D

The results are now up on www.tds-live.com. I think their format is better than the format on www.dublinmarathon.ie because it gives both the runner's number and club - so you will be able to recognise people when the photos come out.

I thought it was a good race and very well organised. Good route and great atmosphere too.

I just have one gripe in relation to the mile markers. When I came up to the mile 7 marker about 80 minutes after the wave 3 start there were two guys taking down the marker and putting it into a van. They then drove off along the course and appeared to have removed the mile 8 and 9 markers too as there was no sign of them.

Now I'm a fairly slow runner - finished in just under two hours - but there were still plenty of people along the course at this point. I know these things are probably more important to the serious runners but slow runners pay the same entry fee and at least deserve to have the markers left up so we know how far we've gone :(

Other than that it was a great race.
