I just signed a contract for a new job based in Northern Ireland. Can anyone advise how I get the national insurance number? and also the best bank to go with. Thanks

National insurance info - http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ni/intro/number.htm

As for banks, it might be easier if you go for a bank which also operates in the south.

You should also maybe ask this question in the North forum.
