Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey all having problems with my computer being INCREDIBLY slow so i went ahead and decided to do a disk check..its the one included with windows that runs on boot. I read online that it should take about 5-6 hours for a 500gb hard drive. But my hard drive is 320gb and the disk check has been going on since 3 yesterday afternoon and its showing Stage 4 of 5 and 11% done.....would i be as well off to just cancel it and are there any programs out there to make this process faster? And in case your wondering the exact issue its the hardware interrupts process using up 100% cpu so if ye have any ideas please do let me know :)

Lots of errors on your HDD is the most likely cause of the slow check.

I had to leave an XP machine with a 40GB disk running chkdsk from the recovery console run overnight.

Lol, your drive is going dead fast. No way a disk check takes that long on anything healthy. I can't wait to see the size when its done.

If you run a bad sector check it can take a very long time indeed.

I downloaded process explorer and its a sub-process under the system process. The scans finally finished anyway and no bad sectors found. And it didnt solve the problem but I managed to fix it. Turns out the whole time it was a hardware conflict problem so just had to reinstall the conflicting hardware and problem solved!
