Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi I am going to buy a new bike under the Cycle to Work scheme. I am going to spend bang on the €1000 limit.

All I want to know is what is the best bike I should get? I would be aiming to cover about 100miles a week and I would be competitive and want a fast bike. So what make and model should I be looking at?

You should be on commission Lumen.

Your seriously making me want to have a spin on one at this stage.

Have to say though, thats a whole lot of bike for 1k!

Cheers for the post but pretty sure I have to buy it from a shop who has agreed to partake in the scheme and not from online. Perhaps you know a shop in dublin that stocks that bike? Going to be pretty strict on the €1000 limit so not going to budge on that tbh

A good friend of mine and my GF both were able to get roadlites on the b2w scheme. Well worth checking with your employer

No problems at all with the employer I can get anything up to any price I want so just want to have some discipline and keep myself below the 1000€ mark I have set. I have all the safety gear from a charity cycle I completed a few months back so its basically 1000€ on the bike as I have everything else. Out of interest how much did you pay for it?

My friend paid 1050e or so for the 6.0 + delivery, my GF got the 5.0 for 900e and then spent the rest of the 1k on bottle cages, saddle bags, delivery etc
