one of my pedals is starting to squeak..i have a specialised sirrus bike which i bought 2 years ago...the pedals seem quite tight...does this mean that the issue is with the ball bearings?

If its the original pedals they are just bog standard plastic ones im suprised theyve last two years! Pop down to your LBS and have them stick on a new set, should set you back about a tenner or you could up grade them with better ones.
