connecting to xbox live help!!!

    need some help on this i have a laptop i dont have a phone line i use o2 broadband
    now i can connect to xbox live using a ethernet lead but there is a limit to what i can play
    iv just bought a wireless modem router but cant seem to get it to work is this because i need a phone line

    any help appreciated or a link to a good youtube video would be appreciated

    You know a router is no good without an actual internet service in your house, right? But yeah AFAIK you need a phoneline and broadband running through that line.

    thanks thats what i wanted to know ill bring the router back its no good to me and it cost nearly 100 euro:(
