Nenagh - Limerick Cycleway

    Announced today on Tipp FM:

    "A new cycle way will be built between Nenagh and Limerick,and will run along the hard shoulder of the old Limerick road for 54 kilometres.While Clonmel, will see a new cycling and pedestrian corridorbetween the showgrounds and the town center.
    Tipperary Minister of State Alan Kelly says the projects arehugely important for both employment and Tourism opportunities"

    Heard discussion about this a few years ago, didn't expect to see it come to pass. Shannon Development are really keen to develop cycling in the region and have been to the fore with Ballyhoura and the Doolin and Nenagh Cycling Hubs. This plan is to encourage cycling tourists to the region and I think may eventually run from Limerck to Shannon Airport.

    Looking forward to the route actually, I have family outside Nenagh and go down weekly :)
