Not too impressed with HUMAX HD-FOX T2

    Bought one of these recently - not too impressed with the picture :(

    The analogue reception on RTE 2 is far far better - the digital reminds me of watching an AVI file, kind of grainy and not great colour
    RTE1 is really bad...

    Signal strength is 33%, Signal quality is 100% (channel 53 in system menu). I dont have a HD tv, so its just on 576i

    Is this because i dont have a HD telly, or is it the reception?

    Any comments from other people on the video quality of this box?

    Maybe this isn't directly comparable, but mine works fine. I am in the Uk, however, and I have an HDTV.

    The main point of these boxes is to upgrade HD tvs that do not have a T2 tuner for Freeview HD.
    If you have to go out & buy a new tv anyway to get the most from the box, that kind of defeats the purpose.
