Yno you could try actually talking to these people rather than judging them by the film or music tastes?

I've got plenty of friends who think Twilight is great and they fully understand I wouldn't wipe my arse with it.
none of the ones I ever went with liked my music taste. Music or film taste wouldn't put me off a young one at all. I guess I'm just a catch lol

From the first post you implied that girls that like the Killers etc are not intelligent. Of course, I might have misunderstood given the poor punctuation. You also made disparaging remarks about gypsy weddings.

If you go to a pub that plays The Killers you can expect to meet girls that like The Killers.

And again i never said there was anything wrong with gypsy weddings all this you are inferring yourself and projecting it on to me . if you have a problem with punctuation you are missing out on some of the great writers of all time ,

Well, you're not one of those great writers Orwellian.

If you put in the same sentence that you are looking for intelligent women, ones that don't read certain books, or listen to certain music; then that implies that women who do read these books and like this music are not intelligent.

You portrayed yourself very poorly in the OP, and that's why you are getting such a hostile response. Anyway, stargirl gave you the answer. You should listen to her if you don't want to be lonely.

Ah, but maybe you like the girls that like rihanna :D

My point is that girls that like indie music are more likely to go to the Forum.

I'd much prefer a rounded intelligent girl, than a narrow minded girl that thinks she's above popular culture and spends all day reading 'The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism'.

Thats sounds good, who is it by?

Its not a real book. Its part of George Orwell's 1984. I thought it fitting given the name of the OP.

Actually 1984 is a bit of a porno.

I said earlier I've no problem with bad punctuation, of itself. The meaning of my sentence is clear. Your OP implied that girls who like The Killers are not intelligent.

There is a world of difference.

Poor op is getting an awful time. Chin up fella. Hopefully you get some young to play with and then you can come back here and laugh at us. :pac:

For someone who has no problem with it you repeatedly brought it up , and no i never said anyone who listened to anything were not intelligent as i do in fact own the first Killers album , the point was more that they list those 3 as standard and combined with the other things i was ,for dramatic effect, painting a generalised picture of a certain kind of person that i am looking for their polar opposite and where they might be if they do exist ... lets re open the flood gates

I'm still trying to get my head around the gypsy bridesmaid thing.. In all my time heading out in Waterford I've never seen a group of girls dressed in that type of attire...

I was thinking about this today after flicking through this thread but say since I was 15 I prob have only been single for like 18months outside of that it was one serious (at the time) relationship and the current Mrs Ziedth.

I literally wouldn't know where to start trying to pull. Like I never moved past asking a mate of mine to ask would a girl go off with me. I don't envy anyone who has to go through it.

Then there is the worst part, I mentioned this on a similar thread before. It mostly happens in clubs/pubs but I die a little inside when I see a guy or girl (it happens to both) approach someone and they get shot down in some serious OTT cruel way just to make a show of them.
