Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

the harbour is nice. i was in johns hopkins for a few weeks. its a lovely campus. that's about it for baltimore. there might be nice stuff to see around the chesapeake bay - good fishing apparently.

    DC is a short trip.

Annapolis is a quite nice little town for a day trip, and not too far outside.

Baltimore is on the Amtrak Northeast Corridor train line so has frequent service to Washington DC and Philly (close enough for a day trip) and NYC and Boston (would need to stay overnight to get a decent trip out of it). There are also probably buses which may be cheaper.

In Baltimore itself the main draw is the Inner Harbor area, which contains the National Aquarium (you could almost spend an entire day there by itself) and IIRC correctly there is a submarine docked there that you can go into and walk around. Also plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc.

The Baltimore Orioles are bottom of their division right now so getting baseball tickets should be easy. They are in the same division as the Yankees and Red Sox so you might be able to get to see either of those teams at a fraction of the cost and hassle it would be to see either of them play at home.
