Low fat/calorie Ice Cream Recipes

I recently bought an ice cream maker and was wondering has anyone any decent low fat and low cal recipes (that still taste nice?)

I don't think you'll get many low fat or low cal options.
The basic ingredients are milk, cream, milk solids etc. These by their nature are high in fat. In addition to sugar.
Even commercial fat-free ice-creams are no different in calories as the sugar is increased.
The exception is totall artifical stuff, that uses sweetners and gelatine to make a fake ice-cream - but I doubt those are suitable for home making.

Can it make sorbets?
These would be lower in fat and calories.

Otherwise, swapping milk for skimmed, cream for low fat cream and sugar for sweetener would reduce the calories. But at a certain point it will stop taste like icecream

For those of you who don't have ice cream makers you could try sorbets and this receipe for ice cream made with only one ingredient :eek: (i didn't try it yet cos i'm lazy though)
