How does not recommending a poor quality manufacturer make one a snob? It's not like anyone's complaining that Belkin are too cheap to be any good. They are simply too unreliable to be any good. Most of what's being recommended is in the same price bracket as Belkin anyway, so snobbery has nothing to do with it.

I wouldn't buy or recommend Belkin products simply because the failure rate is too high to be acceptable.
