    Wouldnt know what the pub was called if thats what your on about but i believe the family owned a pub in that area and i imagine its the pub near Kilcooley wall.

    Frank was from Cloneen. Very sad story and so unfortunate considering all the races previously he came out of probably without a mark on him

    Ah sure if he was from the north he'd have fixed the roads and got a proposed casino the planning permission for Two-Mile-Punjab or maybe get the odd poor aul sod here and there a medical card and all for the love of the people he serves.....of course there's nothing in it for him ;)

    Matt the thrasher is a fictional character in Kickham's novel Knocknagow. Perhaps he was loosely based on someone Kickham knew.
