    Tottenham have suffered a setback after it was confirmed that midfielder Sandro faces at least three months on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery on Friday.

    The Brazilian international was forced out of his country's Copa America campaign by injury on Tuesday, and scans subsequently revealed he had torn his lateral meniscus.

    After travelling back to England, Sandro underwent surgery on his left knee in London on Friday night, according to Tottenham's official website.

    And he now faces three months of rehabilitation before he can return to training, which will come as a major blow for manager Harry Redknapp, who is battling to keep hold of Luka Modric.
    A Tottenham statement read: "Following consultation with an independent knee specialist, Sandro underwent surgery on his left knee in London this evening (Friday).‬"

    It added: "The specialist has advised a three-month rehabilitation period before a return to full training.‬"

    Not a good start he will be missed after his performance's last season:(

    This is terrible terrible news. Seems everything is going against us at this stage. Modric leaving, no players sold that we need rid off & no players in yet or even promising links. I know its early stages but still not a great start.

    Sandro news is a big blow, although everyone gets injuries so we just gotta deal with it.
