The gap between Messi/Ronaldo and everyone else is unreal. 2 of the all time greatest players. How does Harry Redknapp keep a straight face when he includes Gareth Bale with them?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,040 ✭✭✭markie29

Deserved 4-1 lead/win for real madrid...far the superior team in this game

When's the last time Atleti beat Real?

  • Registered Users Posts: 658 ✭✭✭CongoPowers

A real nothing performance from Atléti in the second half. Didn't deserve their goal and would have been horribly unfair had they won the game (even with Madrid way off their best for most of it). I'd feel sorry for their fans but they're generally cúnts so :)

Perea played 16 times vs them and never won so im guessing a long time ago.

    EDIT 1999

EDIT x 2 last time they took a point was 2008

The camerawork is very poor all round in la liga.

I wonder does it count as a big game? Probably not, cos Ronaldo is invisible during all big games.

Thats par for the course for Athletico at home vs Real.
They are generally toothless and cant be arsed to defend properly.

3 goals and an assist for Ronnie, should there not be more of a collective circle jerk going on or is it reserved purely for when Messi does something exceptional?

You're right, but rather than it being about them just laying down from the start, it's just like they have zero belief. One set back and that's it, unless they fluke a goal like they did tonight. Understandable to a certain point after failing for so many years but I don't know, new players should be able to at least compete for ninety minutes. They were just terrible in the second half. Nothing about them.

The sad thing is that there are people out there that believe him when he says that. Bale has so far to go to be included in that category he may never reach it.

I saw this comment on Twitter earlier. Ronaldo is just a beast.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the first player to score at least 40 goals in successive seasons in Europe's top 5 leagues (ESP, ENG, GER, ITA, FRA)

Not Messi himself, but the way the media fawns over him.

    Hopefully this vid'll stay up.

Ronaldo has scored 4 stunners this week.

Atleti were well in the game until they equalised, but after that Madrid stepped it up a gear. Cristiano was phenomenal. I was at the game, and you have to have some sympathy for Courtouis because the way the ball moves when he strikes it is something else.

Idea for a charity event :

David DeGea (I've yet to see a more athletic Keeper).
Versus CR7 with a hundred or so long range shots!.
I think that would be awesome.:D

Barca away to 5th placed Levante next week while Real are home to Sporting Gijon who are 18th and 4 points adrift from safety, could be a tricky set of fixtures.

I wonder if Levante can hold Barca or even beat them. They beat Real at home earlier in the season.

He's probably the best player of all time, he deserves to be fawned over!

Just watched last night's game, as it was recorded for me. Great performance from Ronaldo, Atletico yet again just rolled over for Real, but some great goals. The thing about Ronaldo's goals is that two were from set-pieces and the other was a long range shot; hardly team goals.
Also, I'm not sure whether Di Maria or Pepe rivals Busquets for play-acting.

Pepe gives him serious competition these days, this was one incident against Valencia last weekend.

Easily! :P Pepe is getting worse as he goes on, but di María has the consistency going.
