Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Im writing a report and want to make a point so I am saying something like "The internet wasnt created with Facebook in mind".... But I need a couple of more examples; Nothing specific, Just something general like I above

    The internet wasn't created with so many users in mind, hence why we have classful subnetting and IPV6 on the horizon.

    Once the whole idea of having computers talk to each other gained a foothold there was no stopping things. The geeks shall now inherit the earth.

    The internet wasn't created with porn in mind, but that has been and still is one of the main drivers of the internet.

    Facebook stands on a mountain of networking database and information processing techonologies. As well as phisical electronic innovations for greater speed, efficiency and security.

    As mentioned. The Internet itself is a hippy counterculture take on the decentralised military networks developed during the cold war.

    Watch this for loads of background into the origins of the net...
