Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

at 450 kg there fit, i presume you have a 'good run' for them fro the rest of the year although its geting late for bulling them this year....
the ideal time depends on your own farm for spring calving i like them calved at the late jan/feb so the need to be AI'd from mid april onward ie. 20th, heifers will lose 2 weeks or so from first to second calving so thats why we go a bit earlier
as regards sire, i always prefer a limo on heifers - plenty to pick from and consistent when it comes to calving - especially when crossing on a charo, bone is less of a problem.

Is it breeding heifers/calving them down that you want to do? Or sell them.

If for bulling id use an easy calving limo like FL22 or REQ as if you keeping them you'll get nice growthy yellow calves.

As for when to bull them will depend on age/development than weight IMO and when you want them to calve ie Spring or Autumn calving?
