On top of all the new voices just seeming ...wrong, the lip-syncing in the re-recorded versions is miles off to me(although maybe that will touched up before release, they still need to add static to the first scene in the clip, where you see the wife in a flash back video).

The new voice acting does sound pretty crap, especially Mary for some reason. The original actress sounded very natural, especially in the letter read out in the Water ending.

I guess it's not finished though, and the developers might fix it before release.
And the guys who made the youtube video are overreacting a bit: boycott the game just because of the voice acting!?

Not a fan of this voice changing thing seems like such a petite thing to do, I wonder if their doing the same with the mgs collection im sure their would be a bigger outcry.

TBH stories or the direction a series takes in games sorta go over my head if it plays well or is a quality build regardless, and I thought the last one delivered. All I need is a whiff of silent hill be it akira's soundtracks or exploring those environments.. ok fanboy but its a very special place and still probably the closest thing we have to a twin peaks type dystopia in gaming so am looking forward to it

I really wanted to get the HD collection because of how much a fan I am... but I respect the series too much to ever give my money over to something bullsh*tty like this. Re-doing the voice acting... and for the worst reasons... they don't even respect the people they hired ffs. Voice actor Guy seems so sound. Anyway, I try to vote with my money... this HD collection isn't getting a cent off me. I wish others thought the same but doesn't seem so... my sis is getting it for the 360. She wants the achievements for it. I would've liked the trophies... but aw well. This and RE4 are two HD upgrade games I'm not getting because of BS decisions made by Konami and Capcom.

The new voice acting sucks donkey balls, too.

Those games are not old enough yet for nostalgia, and the graphics and acting were fine anyway so I've no interest in this nonsense re-jigged re-release of SH's past - roll on Downpour.

Gutted Downpour recently got put back, if it wasn't for a good natured member of public I'd be arriving at my local xtravision tomorrow in anticipation only to be truly let down!

It's just drake is such a feckin noob man.. I'll cope.

If that's true then I'll probably pick up the collection along with the Metal Gear Solid one on the PS3 out of convenience more than anything else. I had Silent Hill 2 and 3 on PC here but they're a disaster to get working correctly, really badly done ports.
