Are Irish guys more attracted to non- irish nationals?

Personality-wise I would care too much about them. But I would have to agree that the average Polish chick is definitely a lot fitter than the average Irish one (significantly thinner, no ridiculous fake tans and/or badly bleached blonde hair for starters).

From observations on holidaying in that region I would agree .There is an obious attraction between the hot natives of both sexs and Spanish /Latin women will galdly flirt with white guys and smile while passing comments like '' you have nice blues eyes '' but they do in the main tend to stick with their own kind .

I agree that they are pretty but so are Irish women. I have been to Poland a few times and they are all ridiculously thin but that's because they don't eat. All they do is puff on fags all day, its disgusting. I'm sure most men would pick a woman that eats over a smoker anyday. Not all Irish women are overweight!

Yeah, smoking is definitely a turn off as far as Eastern Europeans are concerned.

In terms of women, If you were to take the top 0.01% of every nationality in the world, based on physical beauty, Ireland would be up near the top.

A beautiful, pale skinned, dark haired Irish girl with big bright eyes is second to none.

However, if you take the average Josephine Soap, or pick a handful at random from the streets of each country in the world, we'd be lagging way behind.

Not sure if you can say the same for guys, I think we're a fairly awful bunch either way. Our top specimens would probably lose out to the likes of the bigger, more powerful looking Eastern Europeans, Africans and South Americans.

On the other hand, the Irish accent, for a reason unknown to me, totally swings things in our favour. The sh*t I've gotten away with, and the people I've impressed with my accent have had me punching WAY above my weight, in terms of work and women abroad.

Better the devil you know. There is no nirvana of perfect women. Because they are foreign does not make them more perfect - it merely makes their failings less familiar to you at first.

i travel from Ireland to Finland very regularly and have noticed one thing

99.99% of couples heading to and from finland have only one dynamic

Irish blokes - Finnish women , you could have ten couples , most with kids and is almost always Irish guy and Finnish wife/girl friend , every flight , every time

i don't think i have seen it the other way around - Irish girl and Finnish bloke

so this says two things , either Irish women don't like Finnish men or Finnish men don't like Irish women

so looking good for us blokes but not so for Irish gals
has anyone else noticed this ? why is the figure so stacked one way and not the other ?

Well from your perspective of women, I wouldn't call you a gentleman. What you said is offensive and insulting by referring to me with a derogatory term because I expressed my opinion about most men in general which are very different from most men of my father's generation who were gentlemen and treated women with respect and decency, that is why I said there are a lack of men in general. Last Irish girl I went out with, after a long term break up was to say the least tough work.
1 thing that sticks in my memory is her obsession with her weight (she was far from a slim girl), again not an issue. Seemed pretty sound and was with her for a few months. Anyway, 1 night we get a take away and she rings to order, orders for us both (I'm not in the room but can clearly hear) and a double cheesburger for who?. She drives and when she gets back I say did you not get a cheeseburger? Floods of tears. Eaten in the car!
No sympathy from me and i apologise not for not throwing my arms around her and saying all will be ok.
That aside, give her a drink or two and she was a pretty abusive asshole-took a few months for that to come out-the last straw being on holiday in Eastern Europe 18 months ago. Red carded her on 1st night as I'd had enough. Met a lovely girl (EE) on the same night when I hit the town alone and have not looked back since.
Comparisons if I can:
Irish girls for the most part are top class, I had a run of bad luck with relationships. Some as posted before seem to think they deserve the David Beckhams of this world. Good luck if you can find.
Eastern Europeans: Pretty, Fo sHo, hard work..isn't any relationship? But for commitment I've yet to see anything like it. But be warned, the same is expected back.

I'm a girl and have been living there three years.
The only thing that changed is my accent now has some kind of novelty value. Do you really consider there to be that much of a difference?

Nah I disagree, I find the older woman from hot climates especially to be rather odd and leathery <-(forgive the spelling) looking.
