Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a heifer with a large "cauliflower" wart on her spin with a thin neck. I seem to remember being told that you can nip this type of wart off with a burdizzo. Anybody have any experience of this?

yes I have an in calf heifer that had a very ugly wart on one of hers, she has had it she was a ayearling, I asked a the vet and was told it was a job for liquid nitrogen..fair enough i though..anyway it was a different vet that did the job, no liquid nitrogen, he had what looked like a small burdizzo. anyway i was holding her tail and i didnt actually see what he did but he seemed to cut it off with a surgical little knife so not sure if the burdizzo is just for clamping or what..
that was amonth or 2 back..she seems perfect now and the procedure itself didnt seem to bother her in the slightest so all good but he definately didnt remove it with the burdizzo, it played some part in the procedure though

use a lamb ring (tail docking ring) it will cut off the blood flow and it will drop off, have had to use them before and it worked well
