Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pedicures in Dublin!

    In the US they have pedicure/nail salons on the corner of every street. Run by asians and communal, i.e. a line of pedicure chairs and you just sit on the chair, read a mag, pay and go. No private rooms like the salons here. I pay about €17 for a full pedicure over there, and the cheapest I can see is €45 over here. And not that I have anything against small talk, but girls I am sure you agree, sometimes you just want to sit back and relax!!! Surely there has to be some of these places in Dublin now? Multicultural city and all that..... (plus the Asians are REALLY good at the pedicures!!)

    When I went to a nail salon in America, I got charged something ridiculously cheap for a 1 hour deluxe manicure in the heart of NYC. I told the girls they should move to Ireland and charge double and they'd still be cheaper than the rest.

    This really bugs me as well. I haven't found a decent 'American' style nail salon outside of the pale.

    Theres an Asian girl thats brilliant (I go twice a month for a manicure) in San Kiev on Trinity Street - €30 for a pedi with her. :)

    I get my pedicures in Ballsbridge - €30 for 45 minutes, which I think good value.

    I've heard good things about a place called J Nails on Capel Street, but have never been myself.

    Oh, and for what it's worth, there's quite a few Asian and Eastern European girls in my salon :)

    Hi girls
    I have been to J nails on Capel street a few times and I must say they do a great job.
    I got a pedi, gel nails and eyebrow wax for €68 and tbh its probably better than anywhere else ive been.
    The girls are lovely and really want to make you feel relaxed.

    theres a nail place beside Solas on Camden st- asian place- not sure about pedicures but I got Gelac nails done there and it was atrocious. lasted 2 days before chipping and lifting.

    Stench Blossoms- where is the 'american style' nail place in the pale?

    There's one in Donnybrook and one in Ballsbridge.
