Improve phone signal in a house

    Hello,

    I have been asked to try assist a client to improve their mobile phone coverage in their house.

    The house has recently been retrofitted with external insulation and the phone signal inside has deteriorated significantly.

    They have looked at vodafone suresignal but they will not guarantee that it will work as the only BB that the client has is via a local wireless provider.

    I have heard about an antenna that can be placed outside and and will transmit the signal to a box internally. Can anyone shine some light on this?

    You're best bet would be to pursue better qulaity broadband to enable your client make use of network provider supplied repeaters / pico cells.

    Other than that, perhaps use WiFi internally and have all mobiles change to VoIP from blueface.ie when in the house (by placing an automatic divert when out of signal to an 076 number) Of course, it presumes decent broadband... Alternatively, divert to a landline?

    Where is the house, to guage broadband availability?
