    Hi all,

    Built my new desktop
    .
Now when I boot I get asked to press f11 for boot menu.

Press f2 or DEL to run Setup.
Press f1 to Load Default Value and continue
Doing either of these get me into settings for the motherboard it looks like.

Right now the fans are really really loud. What should my next step be!? Any help appreciated.

    Its a Corsari HX750W.

One of the reasons I bought it was because it was suppose to be silent! My current HP desktop doesnt make a sound.

    This one is stupidly loud.

If youve ever started up a server or workstation and they are really noisy for a few seconds.

It sounds like that but it never goes quite.

It sounds like you don't have an OS installed.

Also, the fans will probably stay at the maximum speed until the OS(which you don't seem to have) takes control of them and quiets them down.

are the fans connected to the motherboard? some fans are controlled by the fan controller on the case.

Installed windows, worked great on ssd drive.

But, there has to be something wrong with this power supply. It soooo noisy. Anyone have any ideas, could it just be defective?,

Ive removed the 6950 grapchis card and the noise was coming from that and I havent even started using it. I was still using the motherboards card!!.

Any ideas, should it just be that noisy.

The graphics card is noisy? Try installing the latest CCC from the AMD website. Some of them can get noisy but should be quiet if they're doing nothing.

I cant find any settings to disable. Only to select Primary Graphics Adapter. PCI Express is already selected.

Have you plugged in the PCI Express power connector(s) for the graphics card.

    PC is running great now.

Graphics card is quiet, I installed a bit of software that came with my motherboard. All fans were running at 100 percent speed, lowered speed and machine is now very quiet, temps seem to have remained the same.

Going to strip cables and re-enter them neatly later, then rebuild with proper version of win7 and Im done!>
