Yeah, there's a way to set the headings too, I'll try and find it.

Liverpool don't play again until 11th of November. The scheduling is pretty random.

I noticed that your group had all their games really early and then there's a big gap

Yep final game is on Wednesday at 8 pm, hopefully they'll show a bit more this time.

Spurs are on course to meet Liverpool in the next round but a tricky away game to inter Milan could mean we meet sporting instead who look a fantastic team.
Villa also look set to go through but city look like they will finish bottom of their group.

I trust/hope Liverpool won't get Sporting again. While the experience must be doing the lads some good another tonking wouldn't be very helpful.

First Quater Finals are tomorrow evening

    Aston Villa v Marseille
    25-01-2012 7p.m.

    Sporting v Inter Milan
    25-01-2012 7:30p.m.

    Spurs v Liverpool
    01-02-2012 7pm

So far only spurs and sporting are the only undefeated sides in the competition but its Barcelonas Dongou that has stolen the show with favorable comparisons with Messi being made.

Can't believe Sporting lost to Inter - huge upset!

Given sporting were meant to be better than Barcelona it is pretty big but inter have a very good Side too looking forward to next week as well should be good.

Sporting hammered Liverpool and looked a brilliant outfit - maybe just a case of not turning up on the night or Inter finally hitting form.

Spurs hammered Inter - very inconsistent results so far it has to be said!

I saw that tough way to lose villa did everything buy score asecond in that match.
Result was against the run of play.

I read that but Villa only equalised in the last minute of normal time.

Gary Gardner scored 6 goals in the competition. He could be good...

Are the Quarter Finals two legged affairs?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,267 ✭✭✭opr

I only caught the first 15 minutes of the Sporting - Inter game before the Liverpool match kicked off and Sporting seemed in complete control. From reading match reports it looks like the Italians pulled off a masterful away performance in playing a very disciplined defensive game which frustrated Sporting and Inter caught them with somewhat of a sucker punch on the break to score the goal. Decent crowd showed up for the game and looked a great atmosphere.

Was just reading the Nextgen updates on twitter and it seemed Aston Villa battered Marseille but just couldn't convert the many chances they created.

Really looking forward to the Spurs - Pool quarter final next week.

Edit - Nope Lloyd only one leg which is a little disappointing.

Villa scored late but were in complete control for 95% of the match.
