    Hi,

Sorry I am totally new to this but I need a bit of advice. I am living in Spain and I am going to install a dish. I was wondering if I pointed it to Astra 2D or another and bought a HD box in Ireland would I be able to pick up the saorview channels plus the UK channels here without having to pay a Sky subscription or is the system not that developed yet. Its been a while snce I have been in Ireland

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

Saorview is not a satellite service so you cannot receive it in Spain.

Sarview is not a satellite service, it is a terrestrial service, and there is no hope of it reaching as far as Spain.

The Saorsat service won't be available in Spain either, before you ask . . . :)

Unfortunately the only way to get the Irish channels in Spain will be with a large dish depending on where you are, and a dedicated sky subscription which you can take the box and its card to use in Spain.

Cheers for the prompt response. Suppose freesat or digibox here I come.

    Take it easy

Think there's no real point in moving this to Terrestrial. The question's been answered.
