Johnny Byrne's likely suspension makes the final interesting. Would have said Eadestown were almost certs for the drop earlier in the year but that makes things interesting.

Jtb have serious momentum although I think Flanagan would have wanted a better test.

It's a Celbridge team who in key positions aren't getting any younger either. They'll have a good crack from here.

Sarsfields haven't been the team of old so not sure how good Moore's win was.

Have to say sarsfields are poor this year. I was at the game and I think the Moore's aren't champions this year but mind you they could grind there way through it but I think with the subs they brought on slowed it down to much for them.
Johnstown bridge are the dark horses here. They are racking up big scores and flying through the championship at the moment.
    They have my vote.

Be nice to see a JTB v Athy final for a change

I think Celbridge will beat JTB. JTB have a handful of match winners but Celbridge have more depth and with Brophy now back in tow with Hughes they have a more potent attack than in previous years.

The other game is equally interesting. Athy have the talent to take down Moorefield but it remains to be seen whether they have the heads for it. They have been lacking in that department since 2010.

    Tom Cross JFC Final:

    Ballymore 3-18 Caragh 1-4

Considering BME were Leinster intermediate champions seven years ago they should be hard to beat in the Leinster JFC.

    SFC Relegation Final

    Eadestown 3-12 Allenwood 1-13

2004 champions drop to intermediate. Hard to see Johnny Doyle staying on

    Celbridge 0-14 JTB 1-8

Celbridge will be hard stopped in the final

Very solid back six and midfield. Didn't give any rope to JTB's main men. Paddy Brophy was quiet in the first half. Kicked some good scores in the second.

    Moorefield 2-3 Athy 0-3

Goals from Eddie Heavey and Niall Hurley Lynch.

    Moorefield 2-6 Athy 0-8

    Athy gaining a foothold.

Only once in 13 seasons has there been a final without Moorefield and/or Sarsfield.

Really thought Athy would bridge that record again today. Lost opportunity

    Should be a good final.

Would have much preferred Athy. I think a club like them, if they won the Championship would progress further in Leinster than Moorefield and Celbridge.

But if you concede 3 goals, you don't deserve to win

I don't think they would. They always flatter to deceive. Hard to understand how they were the championship favourites this morning.

Moorefield are the ultimate championship team. Control games, chip away, put the squeeze on when they need to. Celbridge were impressive in the second half. They have always had a strong spine but now have a potential match winner up front in the form of Brophy.

Progress in Leinster will be a struggle for either team. Away to either the Offaly or Laois champions in the quarter final and away again in the semi final to probably the Dublin champions if they clear the first hurdle.

In fairness Athy bounced back well after conceding two early goals. They had a goal chance of their own to go ahead thought Kelly should of took the point and Moorefield countered down the field and got the killer goal
