    Hi all,

We are a group of parents from the Balbriggan area who have set up a start up group to try and bring a 2nd Level Educate Together School to Balbriggan. We are having an Expression of Interest weekend in Millfield Shopping Centre ( new Tesco ) in Balbriggan On Friday 12th and Saturday 13th August 2011.

We will be looking for people to come and sign an Expression of Interest Form to gather information on how many people from our community would be in support of Educate Together as a patron of the new Balbriggan 2nd Level School.

This will also be an opportunity for you to come and ask us questions and even join the Start Up Group.

We may even have lollies for the smallies!

The Expression of Interest is not a pre-enrolment form. It is a tool used to gauge interest and support in our efforts.

Please come along and support us. :):)

Good to hear the event is back on. I will spread the word, there are a lot of us in Balbriggan concerned that there may be a lack of 2nd level places in the area over the coming years.
We will be there on Saturday!

    Hey Maria,

Great to hear Maria. The committee are a group of parents who are concerned also about the lack of 2nd level places and that was why we set up the group.
By the way we are hoping to have a big crowd on Saturday at 1.45pm so we can get a picture for the local newspapers. And don't forget the lollies!!" Keep passing on the word. :)

We're in Lusk, and there's also a campaign here trying to get a second level ET in the area. There's a secondary school due to open here in 2013, and the process is currently ongoing to determine who will have patronage. I know there are a number of people who would prefer to travel a moderate distance to an ET second level school rather than a local VEC.
