I wish someone would mention or use Punk's "player past and present" in a promo on him :p

Didnt HHH say Beth's name when Punk was on about Stephanie at some stage during their "feud"

Yeah, at Comic Con when Punk "wasn't with the company". Punk took a shot at Steph, HHH retaliated with a shot at Beth.

What did he say about Beth, probably something lazy like her being in better shape than "skinny fat ass" Punk.
    God I love that line.

Hhh said that if punk wanted to return all he had to do was give him (HHH) a call.
Punk retorted with "I'll tell you what, I'll let you call me, I'm sure your wife has my number"
HHH done his best to get back at punk by saying "oh I'm sure I can just ask Beth"

But no one really heard it because punk was making his exit after his line and people were going apepoo. :pac:

Punk gives off the aura of a scumbag - why are people surprised?

more importantly, why do people care?

everything i've heard about punk is that although he comes off as a prick in general, he treats those around him real well, and he's got unshakeably strong beliefs and morals. I'm just surprised (and a bit saddened) to hear he's just another carny prick asshole.

It might just be me bring a mark, but if Punk ever gets busted for wellness, i'm stopping watching wrestling. Or is straight edge & punk just a wrestling gimmick too and brace myself for it? (reminds me of when i found out hogan was on steroids in the early 90s...stopped watching wrestling for years!)

He is a selfish person. Talented, but selfish. Several of his more hardcore fans show themselves up as a hypocrites, when they call him a 'legend' for dating a lot of females. While someone like Lita got called all manner of things for sleeping with Edge.

Being self righteous last year about Jeff Hardy, when he clearly has his own vices away from the ring bothered me too. I know Jeff Hardy is not role model #1, but Punk should have stopped and realised that the business can easily eat less strong people up.

I think it is those section of fans who think he is the best thing since sliced bread at everything (he's not, but very very good in a few areas) that annoy me more than anything else. Many of them write for the websites.

full disclosure, i bloody love punk's work in the ring and on the mic. Although my enjoyment of him has gone way down over the past 2 months.

i'll say that there is a double-standard for men and women sleeping around (which i won't disagree with - it's women who decide if you're gonna get some!) -- i found it best described as :
a key that opens many locks is a pretty awesome key
a lock that's opened by many keys is a pretty shitty lock :p

huge difference between sleeping around and cheating on your gf/wife etc though. plus Matt Hardy got shitcanned for it; much like Daffers as rovert mentioned; so there's two bad things Lita did.

what vices does punk have outside the ring?

    cheers :)

He has clearly gone out with a lot of the female wrestlers - and behind Daffney's back, as you posted earlier.

Fair enough, just don't adopt the straight edge mantra (off TV at least), because you are not 'better' from a moral standpoint than the average person.

I wouldn't count dating a lot of women a vice! As much as being talented and successful is a vice :p Is there anything else?

Bit saddened that a guy i've championed for so long, an outsider who (despite not looking, acting or politiking a certain way) made it big in WWE; who i believed had strong moral beliefs, is a dirty scumbag cheater. Well i guess i shouldn't be shocked, big mark Bret Hart cheated on his wife; Austin's a wife-beater etc. :(

Its not that I'd defend Punk's bad treatment of women and idolize him for dating and screwing around with many different female wrestlers.

BUT. There is two sides to every story, and as far as I know, Punk's never given his side of the love triangle one. It's easy to jump to conclusions and call him X,Y and Z, but taking one side of a story from someone who was burned is always going to result in hyperbole and overreactions. Again, not saying he's innocent. But I'm more inclined to take everything with a pinch of salt.

That said, everything I've read about him is that he's a tad arrogant, and I'll admit it's a con which has to be weighed up against his many pros. But then I too am an anti-social ****er so maybe I can relate somewhat :P

Story I read was Daffney got released by WWE and looked to get back in ROH but Punk didn't help out. She wasn't signed to ROH at the time so (Going by this story) he didn't get her fired.

Punk was already gone from TNA so he wasn't getting in her way of going back there.

Still bad form to block her from ROH but not his fault she wasn't in WWE or TNA either.

As i say, still bad form if true.

I'd agree with this. He comes across as arrogant in real life but as you say, we don't really know. But there is a strong chance that he actually is a bit of a díck. Which doesn't really matter to me on screen, if he was booked to his maximum potential he would be amazing. As it is, he's still the only thing in the WWE I currently care about.

My favourite wrestlers are/were Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, CM Punk, RVD and The Undertaker. All in various ways have done shítty things (Taker much, much less than the others, he's just over-bearing backstage which is fair enough in his position). Austin being an alleged wife beater being by far the worst and being an example of something actually illegal.

Whilst I don't approve of what Punk seems to do in his private life, he isn't breaking any laws. There aren't any laws against being an a$$hole.

The double standard shown towards men and women is pretty sad in this day and age too.

If that story's legit, i've lost a good deal of respect for Punk. Getting your girlfriend (who you were cheating on, no less) fired is real asshole territory  I guess straight edge doesn't preclude you from being a scumbag.

Well according to the first paragraph on the Straight Edge page on Wikipedia, it does preclude one from promiscuity.

Just reading about here, it also precludes not only tobacco and alcohol, but can also include caffeine and vegetarianism (which, just for the record, would eliminate those cans of Red Bull we saw in his fridge :o).

I don't understand how they banish alcohol and tobacco because they say it poisons the body......... ok so what are tattoo's? Is it not ink poisoning your skin?

I think his tattoo's do look awesome though.

    Wouldn't surprise me.

But I love how he portrays the notion of banishing drinking and smoking as cool, as the stereotypical wrestling fan would be known to be a beer drinking young male.

Not sure if this was posted yet, but WWE Euroshop have the 'Best in the World' and the 'Ice-Cream Bar' t-shirts in stock now.

May or not be cheaper than WWE Shopzone if you work out postage etc but could save you a few quid.

LOL. Dying here. So we all don't like Punk now over his relationships? Shouldn't we all have been more offended that he was attracted to Lita in the first place? As we'd say out Whest: "Shay has disayse written across hur face".

I've never had much problem with Lita tbh; she's the victim of typical double standards. If anything, based on the stories there is about both of them, Punk and Lita seem like perfect matches :P

Just to address the bit in bold... how do you mean "poisoning your skin"?
I'm pretty sure the fundamental principles of Straight Edge are concerned with "clean living", and having tattoos does not compromise this in the slightest.

Aside from that, who cares about the rest? So Punk is a wrestler, he mostly has dated/been with female workers. No big deal. Without personal knowledge of the ins and outs of his life, it's like the Lita case, nobody else's place to judge.

    HATE that Ice Cream T-shirt!

The following are highlights from a new interview with CM Punk from the NY Post.

Punk on the accuracy of the new WWE 12 video game: "It’s dead-on, the only thing I would love to see maybe next year is a ‘lack of sleep’ meter. Factor in like ‘Hey CM Punk did media all day and his lack of sleep meter is full’ and then you get a crappy match because of it. That would be really accurate."

Punk on competition with John Cena for the top spot in WWE: "It’s really interesting that nobody has been able to scratch at Cena as the ace of the company. I’ve always been a believer in my own abilities and have said if given a shot I could be that guy. I think John Cena’s appeal is that he’s a superhero, a big muscle-bound He-Man type guy. I’ve beat John Cena in merchandise sales and I won’t get into that but if you put my ugly face on a poster, because I don’t look like a superhero."

Punk on his WWE title match going before Rock & Cena: "I don’t feel slighted about that at all. Rock coming back is a big deal and everybody wants to produce in [Madison Square] Garden. The slogan on the back of my t-shirt is not just as slogan on the back of a t-shirt, I truly am the best in the world. Rock and Cena are going to be sitting in Gorilla when I get done with my match and walk through with my WWE Title and say ‘follow that.’"

WWE know what they are doing regarding Cena. They have doing a lot of things you don't normally do with your big face star. He's been getting made fun of, they are doing things to make the crowd hate him even more (him looking rediculous standing on the turnbuckles last night). As far as I'm concerned he's a heel, just not the kind of heel we are used to. Not a cheater or a bad guy in the typical sense of a heel, but a guy looking to be popular but who everyone hates. He's certainly fulfilling the role of a heel very well with everyone hating him and hoping he loses. The WWE wouldn't allow the Rock to do what he did to him last night if they wanted Cena to continue to be the star of the show.

    Survivor Series
Although he always got booed to some extent, WWE recently have recently been making sure he gets booed even more (The Rock's actions, Mick Foley's cheesy "this is your life" thing, Punk's promos about Cena, Cena looking a lot softer recently). I can see him in a big rivalry with Punk for the WWE title the next few months, with the context of Punk's comments about Cena licking Vince's ass driving it. Possibly with a big match at the Rumble

MOD EDIT: Careful on the spoiler.

CM Punk did an interview with The New York Daily News today and took a few shots at The Rock.

“You know, the thing about that is, he’s not around. He’s not around. It doesn’t help morale when the guy goes right from his limo to the dressing room to the dressing room to the ring. He’s very bourgeois Hollywood,” Punk said.

When asked whether he thought The Rock had really “returned” to WWE, Punk said: “He came back, he did WWE Raw after that. He said he was never gonna leave. And the next time we saw him is a month later. Yeah, it does bother me. A little hello would have been nice. He could have run by with his own entourage.”

Punk then went on to compare his feelings between The Rock and John Cena, saying “I have my beef with John Cena, and I have my things that I don’t like Cena, but you know what? I try to tell him everyday. For The Rock to criticize, come on.”

When asked if he thought The Rock was a “Diva”, he said: “I can’t say that. At least the WWE Divas say hi to me in the halls.”

CM Punk appeared on the The Hot Click podcast and did not hold back his opinions on The Rock, Vince McMahon, The Miz, his near exit from the WWE and a slew of other topics. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

On not sleeping: “We just did a European tour. I would honestly say on the European tour if you want to average it all out, I slept two hours a night… Eventually it gets to you. I know when I start seeing things that I really need to try… It’s not like I’m forcing myself to stay awake. It’s a thing. I got in late last night. I met up with my buddies, H20, the band and we went out. I got back to my hotel maybe at two in the morning and I had to meet in the lobby at 6 AM so I got a 5:30 wakeup call and next thing I know it’s 3:30. I’m reading comic books in my hotel room.”

How hard it is being straight edge: “It’s not hard at all. A lot of people ask me that. I almost think it’s a really weird question. How hard is it for you to wear glasses? How hard is it for you to have back hair? I was born this way so, no, it’s not hard at all.
“I just turned 33 so I’m assuming I’m what you call an SEOG: Straight Edge Old Guy. There are not a lot of us. I know everybody that was straight edge when I first claimed straight edge, when I was like 15-20, everybody fell off; everybody sold out. There’s like me and my friend Natalie back in Chicago. It’s like you find somebody else who’s straight edge and you stick together.”

On almost leaving WWE: “The last 12 months… I was leaving, I was out the door. I wasn’t quitting. My contract was up and I was like, “You know what, my contract’s up. I fulfilled my obligations to you. You have fulfilled your obligations to me and you let me slip through your fingers.” That was my attitude and I was leaving. One of the conditions of me resigning, I was like, look, if I resign I’m all in. I’m back to old form CM Punk. I’m not sleepwalking through this. I’m not just going to be a robot. I’m going to get excited about things again. I’m going to
watch all the matches and I’m going to praise people, yell at people, give people my opinions, and help out guys. That’s what I’ve been doing.

If he ended up staying for the money: “No, it’s not about money. It’s funny; on Twitter I get a lot of hilarious tweets. I’ll be crabby and complain about somebody. I’ll have my headphones on in the airport and I’m eating. I don’t know if anyone knows what it’s like to have someone legitimately walk up to you and wave their hand like an inch away from your face because I have headphones on and I can’t hear them. I don’t know if anyone knows what that’s like but that happens to me multiple times a day then I complain about it, and then on Twitter I get, ‘Oh, shut up crybaby. That’s why you’re rich.’ I was rich before I had any money. Being rich has nothing to do with anything monetary. No, it wasn’t about money. I’m not a money guy.
“I know people who are wealthy and they’re miserable. I was miserable. I was coming to work every day and I was like, ‘This is ridiculous. I’m seeing all this stuff. Miz is the main event of WrestleMania. What is wrong with this world? Okay, I gave it all.’”

If The Miz has a problem with his comments: “No, Miz knows exactly how I feel. I’ve told him about it… I think Miz doesn’t know how to deal with that. It’s just my brutal honesty. I think you got to just let it roll of your back or you get confrontational about it.
“I was strictly basing it on the fact that I was the best bad guy. In my world, the best bad guy wrestles the best good guy. I was specifically told, ‘Hey, leading up to WrestleMania we don’t really know what you’re going to do yet but you’re going to be John Cena’s little TV feud.’ I was like, ‘I’m nobody’s TV feud. That’s bullsh-t.’ They just continued to piss me off.”

What made him re-sign with WWE: “The chance to change this place. One of my best friends in the world is Lars Frederiksen. He plays guitar for a band called Rancid. He told me a story about when the Ramones went into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Marky didn’t want to do it; half of the Ramones were dead. The Ramones, as a band, were always musically shunned and he didn’t want to do it. He didn’t want to show up, accept the award. Lars told him, “Look, you have to. It’s your responsibility. You paved the way for guys like me. You have to go accept this award because you think not accepting it is this big middle finger to the establishment but actually accepting the award and being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – that’s the middle finger.
“Lars and Joey Mercury, two people who are wise beyond their years, told me, ‘You can’t change the place from your couch.’ I said that on television. That was all real. That’s the truth. I couldn’t change this place from my couch so I resigned and I’m trying to change it.”

If he’s happy about re-signing: “I’m very happy. I’ve never been busier in my entire life. I had conversation with Vince McMahon. I was like, ‘Look, I’m not holding you up for money. I’m not holding out for this contract but if you’re going to sign me you’re going to sign me to the best money deal possible and if it’s your prerogative to not use me but pay me that ridiculous amount of money. I don’t see you being that stupid.’”

His relationship with Vince McMahon: “Honestly, I don’t think if Vince ever got me. I don’t think he does. I don’t know what’s not to get but some people just don’t see things. I don’t know if this is a good example but I don’t know if Vince gets The Rock. Vince gets Cold Stone Steve Austin. He gets that guy. I don’t know if he gets The Rock but he recognizes that he’s a hell of a talent. I might throw myself in that category. I don’t know if Vince 100% gets me but he finally has recognized, ‘Alright, this kid is the real deal.’
“I’ve been the same guy since I stepped foot in the WWE. I’ve always acted like a top guy, not in the regards of, ‘I need a limo and first class travel.’ I have never let anybody tell me that I can’t or I suck or anything like that. I’ve always had an air of confidence about me, which always rubs people the wrong way. It’s like the whole ‘best in the world’ thing. If I didn’t honestly believe that, and it’s obviously borderline narcissistic and egotistical but it’s like, well, if you don’t think you’re the best in the world at what you do then you should at least aspire to be the best. Why do you do what you do?”

If Vince likes to knock people down: “I don’t try to run the show. It’s his company; it’s his baby. I think the WWE has knocked me down a peg or two. That’s the most frustrating thing about what we do. I don’t know if this is the Brock Lesnar legacy. It’s just like holy crap, strap a rocket to this guy and give him everything. Then all of a sudden a year later Brock’s like, ‘Oh, I want to go home.’ I don’t know if there’s a fear that that’s going to constantly happen, which is legitimate. I can see that. You put yourself in Vince’s shoes and it’s like, okay, I get that.
I take this responsibility very seriously. When you are the champion and you are on top, you’re pulling the train. It’s the tradition in pro wrestling where everybody thanks everybody. ‘Thank you for the tour.’ The guys on top are the ones that are drawing the houses. You’re the reason why everyone on the undercard is getting paid. I get being spooked about that. We’ve done it way too often with guys like Wade Barrett, Sheamus, with me. I remember the first time they made me champion. Raw ratings went up. I got numbers, house show attendance went up. Then it’s like you just constantly cut these guys legs out from under them. After awhile it’s just like everyone’s middle of the road.

Clashes with Vince McMahon: “There was the Tony Atlas story. Tony wrote about it in his book but I didn’t read it so I don’t know exactly how accurate it was. I was ECW Champion at the time. I was still living in Louisville, Kentucky. I would go to OVW still and I would maybe work a Dark Match for them and watch the show, talk to guys. Long story short, there was some backstage OVW politics that unbeknownst to me was going on. I went up to Tony to introduce myself because he was down there to talk to the guys about saving your money and drugs and what not.
“I said, ‘Hi, Mr. Atlas. My name’s CM Punk. How are you doing?’ He grabbed my arm and he’s like, ‘What is this?’ I didn’t get where he was going. I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about. Oh the X’s. I’m straight edge and I explained it to him.’ He’s like, ‘No, no, no, your arms. They’re taped up.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I tape up my arms so I can ‘x’ up. It’s a straight edge thing.’ He looks at me and he says, ‘It looks like you have two broken arms.’ I was just like, ‘Great, okay.’ I didn’t know where he was going and I was confused. ‘Okay, sir, alright.’ He said, ‘I don’t think you get it. If you don’t listen to your coaches, you’re never going to make it to television.’ Then I was like, ‘Alright I appreciate whatever this is. Thank you, sir.’
“Then I worked the dark match and we had this great dark match. It was like this eight man tag and there was a whole bunch of talented guys in it. Then in the post show meeting, Tony Atlas goes on and on about how everyone’s great, everyone has a great attitude, the show is great, the only match he didn’t like was that last one. That last match sucked. There was a guy in it with a bad attitude. He basically just started singling me out. I had already lost my mind at this point. I stood up like legit De Niro, ‘Are you talking to me?’ He was like, ‘Yes, you have a bad attitude and I’m going to put it in the report and I hope you get fired.’ He said a lot of ridiculous things.
“I stood up and started walking down and was like, ‘Are we fighting?’ It turned into this big legendary thing where he just started giving me a bunch of s–t and I gave it right back to him. I was like, ‘Look, I’m on television and I’m one of Vince’s champions.’ It turned into this thing and two weeks later we were in England and Vince is like, “I need to talk to you for a minute.
“He’s like, ‘The Tony Atlas thing – what happened?’ I explained to him the story and he’s like, ‘These old timers don’t watch the show. You got to be respectful.’ He said, ‘Sometimes, you just got to eat a little s–t. I eat s–t all day. I eat red s–t, green s–t, blue s–t, all kinds of s–t. I’m eating s–t all day.’ I laughed and I looked at Vince and said, ‘I had eaten enough of his s–t and I was full and he looked a little hungry so I thought maybe he wanted to eat a little s–t of his own.’ He smiled and said, ‘I like that. That’s good.’”

The Rock returning to WWE: “I think it’s great. Bottom line is it’s a business. If Rock is going to put asses in seats then yay for us. There are a lot of misconceptions about how I feel about it. Obviously people love asking me because they know they’re going to get the 100% truth. He comes back and he says that he’s never going to leave again and then he doesn’t come back for months. Yes, he’s doing Survivor Series and, yes, it sold out in a half hour. Let’s be honest. It’s the Garden and it’s the 25th anniversary of Survivor Series. The show was going to sell out but I get the bragging. ‘Oh, it sold out in a half hour.’
“I sold out the Garden – me and JBL in a cage match so I have that distinction. I can say that I sold out Madison Square Garden, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. The problem I have with Dwayne is that he came back, he said he’s never leaving again and I don’t appreciate all this, ‘Oh, the WrestleMania buy rate was up. Oh, it’s because of Dwayne.’ Was it? Or was it because of me and Randy Orton or was it because of Miz and John Cena? That’s unfortunately something that you can’t really ever figure out. A lot of people like to live and die by the ratings.
“It’s a big news story that he came back, absolutely. I think he even tweeted me one time saying something like, ‘The Rock in the main event makes more money than CM Punk could in a lifetime,’ which is obviously a fallacy. That ultimately is where I have the problem with Dwayne. He lives in a fantasy world. No matter if I like or hate whoever I’m working with, I say, ‘hello,’ to them. I fraternize with them. It’s a brotherhood backstage. I’m with these people more than I’m with my little sisters and my family. I just don’t appreciate going from limo to dressing room, from dressing room to the ring and not saying ‘hi’ to any of the boys.
“That’s what he does. I was just at a Guns N’ Roses show backstage in Chicago and that’s exactly what Axl Rose does and Axl’s a lot cooler than Dwayne. Part of me gets it but for anybody who wants to say I have a bad attitude or a chip on my shoulder about it – absolutely. I think anybody should. There are guys in that locker room that bust their ass and there are guys that should be in the main event at WrestleMania. Eventually it will happen for everybody as long as you’re passionate about it. I’m passionate about. Yeah, it pisses me off.”

I think its safe to say it was because of The Rock;)

As much as I like punk, I completely forgot him and orton even had a match at mania.
I wonder would he get annoyed if someone suggested that he gave MITB the buys it got this year..

I was looking forward to Edge vs ADR most at Mania or Taker vs HHH not him vs blandy orton or miz vs cena in a tedious, overshadowed blah effort. I read this interview last nite but rolled my eyes so much reading it I forgot to even post it. But at least he forgot to mention ice cream bars thats a plus

I don't know where alot of the comments in this thread or the title are coming from. All punk cared about was getting vince's attenion he has got that now and is only behind cena now and is selling more merch then cena and is over with the casuel fans,i don't understand the way people are talking.

Good. If he wasn't he would be back on the indies and we wouldn't have had such brilliant moments.

Nothing wrong with aiming high, but it reminds of a Bret Hart or Ric Flair level of self-markdom - like he can't look beyond his pro wrestling character.

I would say that interview was done in character, hence marking out for himself.

As for The Miz comments, maybe i'm reading too much into this but I have a sneaky suspicion that he made those comments because he's been told that WWE are going to book Punk Vs Miz at Wrestlemania next year for the WWE Championship.

Cena is tied up with Rock, that leaves Punk as the next top babyface to fight Miz who is probably the second top heel behind Del Rio. But we are already in the middle of a Punk/DelRio feud, so they wont book it again at Wrestlemania.

Will they keep the belt on Punk until Wrestlemania? If his merchandise sales continue to sky rocket, then yeah it's quite possible. I would like to see him feud with Dolph Ziggler before Wrestlemania season starts though.

What happened to warrant those comments? Did he have a beef off screen with Miz?

Sounds to me like Punk is quite jealous of The Rock

    Go Punk!

I agree with the suggestion it was an in charachter interview but a lot of truths in there too. I'd say he really isn't impressed with Rock or that Rock is already in the main event at mania. Nothing wrong with saying it. He would probably admit he is jealous of the rocks position, as every pro wrestler should be.

setting up something with Miz sounds good. Miz needs a feud with Punk I think.

name change really required for this thread now. He is the WWE champ again!

or maybe he wants to try and force/create a kayfabe reason for a fight/feud with the Rock if he is to have more matches in the future. Who knows tbh, but to me it seems an in character statement even if he may actually think that.

Wouldnt be shocked if Miz vs Punk was the RR title match

The thought crossed my mind too, but it's likely that Miz will be feuding with Truth around this time.

At Royal Rumble I would like to see Miz Vs Truth, and Punk Vs Ziggler for the WWE title.

I'd imagine it could be Truth vs Miz around Rumble time,Truth is out for a month with the suspension and they have already started that storyline. Maybe Punk vs Miz at mania(the title matches ain't going to be too important next year with Taker coming back and the Main Event booked since April) after Truth puts Miz over cause its not as if anyone else is going to put Miz over.

I wouldnt be surprised with either tbh

Miz vs Punk makes sense as if Punk is the champ as a face being pushed id expect him to go against a heel but be passed ADR already and Miz would probably be the highest profile other Heel on Raw atm.

However I'd say your right and assuming Truth goes straight back to being prominant on the card he would have to be feuding with Miz at that stage and despite not being a good R-Truth would probably be the face cos of his comedy pops. Anyway this is the Punk thread so...

Punk vs Ziggler as part of a Ziggler push would imo make sense especially as I see Ziggler being the current next in line for main event status on Raw. Infact I'd imagine he will be similar to The Miz's push when he quickly dropped the US Title to Bryan before moving to the main event however in this case it will be Ryder taking the US gold.

Wouldnt be surprised actually if Punk actually costs Ziggler that US title, moving the belt onto Ryder contuing his push but not derailing Zigglers. Big stars are usually in the Rumble match itself too so this event often does see a mid carder used in the title match and given an opportunity to move up the card. Pitting Punk vs heat magnet Vickie G also would be a way to guarantee his big face push could continue.

You never know though by then with the WWE we could be once again seing Cena thrust into the main event and Cena vs Punk headlining the Rumble with potential involvement from the Rock, probably sitting front row or something so he couuld distract Cena while Punk goes over meaning Cena doesent lose clean and Cena/Rock is given more ammo.

either way I currently expect Punk to keep that belt for a while

    /ramble

way I see it for Punk and title main events atm:

    SS: Vs Alberto Del Rio
TLC: VS ADR in a ladders match
RR: Vs Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero
EC: Vs The Miz, ADR, Cena, Ziggler & R-Truth/Kane
WM: vs Jericho/HHH or The Miz

I love to see some interaction and promos exchanged on screen between Rock and Punk

I kinda always wanted to see a Punk feud with Christian could happen down the line seeing as SD superstars now also appear on Raw but Miz looks the more likely would prefer Ziggler or Jericho myself

I'm kind of hoping Ziggler gets the Rumble win this year and heads into the main event of Mania to challange Punk. He's on a roll at the moment and think that would be an awesome match if given time.

Agree its more likely to be the Rumble title match though. Either way, I love Punk and I love Ziggler so can't wait for their feud :D
