Hey guys - Heading to France camping next week - first time camping on the continent - just wondering if the electricity hook up generally used is the blue 16amp 3 pin type to take the plug adaptor I have in the pic

    Thanks for looking - Bob

If it is, I hope you're not using that adaptor outside?

I just arrived home today after 14 days in france 4 dry days and 10 wet days, we were in Brittany and down as far as Pornic near St Jean de Momts.
I had to use a 2 pin adaptor which I had with me on 2 sites while I was away. These are like the type you would use at home to hookup with a 3 pin plug only the french have a 2 pin. I think you should be able to get one at any motorhome dealer.

I picked mine up in E. Leclerc (the large French supermarket) for a fiver.

Before you go wire up a short length of cable to a blue 16amp plug, when you arrive buy a local 2 pin and connect it to the other end, cheapest way :D.

Picked up the 2 pin version in Super U for €14 - feel a bit cheated on price now but happy to have it in the kit.
