Accommodation advice needed

Meself and himself are hoping to get away mid week next month for a few days, thinking of heading to Galway, and advice on a good hotel/guesthouse to stay at in the city or out on the coast would be great, like everyone we're strapped for cash so looking for good value, anybody got any suggestions

lots of guesthouses out along the coast either before or after salthill

might be cheaper beyond salthill but then there will be travel costs, between salthill and the city will me a 10-15 min walk if you want to visit the city for pubs, shopping eating etc.

This is Galway's busiest few weeks so bargains might be scarce unless you are willing to stay a bit away from the city.

im just back from galway. we stayed in the harbour hotel and got it in a deal by booking with them direct. it was a very nice place

St Martin's B&B on Nun's Island, it's in the city centre, the people who run it are lovely and prices aren't too bad:
