Fantasy charts for two weeks from now showing a strong area of high pressure building from the south around the end of September/start of October. See how long that set up shows itself for before disappearing.

Warm, dry and settled if everything went to plan

Its been coming up on the GFS for the past 3 days now, obviously not going to play out as well as its currently suggesting but maybe some settled weather at long last? Can't say I'm getting my hopes too high but something to keep an eye on at least. ECM & GEM have no real hint of it though

Anybody in north Galway? Just wondering if the leaves have begun to fall and what color are the trees and bushes ? Thanks...

Looks as if we will be settling into more normal Autumn weather from Monday onwards. Colours are beautiful.

GFS. One of them will be closer anyway. I doubt it will be the one below though somehow!

Her energy might be passing through this Wednesday. That set up for the week after seems to have disappeared from the models for now.

The longer range models seem to constantly show high pressure trying to rebuild over us from the south and east right into October. Can't help but think lows will win that particular war however.

Well I find the long straight line of cloud out to the Atlantic funny looking anyway. What would cause the cloud to stop going further north at that point?

That upper line is more or less where the jet stream is, cold air to the north of it.

Serious flooding potential over the coming week, hasn't stopped raining all month here and there's already plenty of land underwater but if the 12z gfs materialises then the whole country could be underwater. Parts of the south getting over 100mm in less that 36 hours!

Weatheronline doesn't seem to be working and I cant find a high res image of the whole country anywhere else so this will have to do
