Irish date would be nice but can Ozzy hack it live anymore?

Yes he can, surprisingly. I wasn't expecting much from him when they played in Belfast a couple of years ago, but he was on form and sounded great.

Was he not back on the drink and drugs around then ??. Probly sounds better when he's messed up

I'm happily watch Tony and Geezer do an instrumental set. Shame Bill won't be there though.

So this looks like it will really be the final tour, i hope that they finish everything in Birmingham, where it all started.

When they reformed (96?) i somehow managed to get front row seats, got me mug on the 'reunion' album cover, sneaked backstage, met them all, what a show.

Found these pieces of paper, or so i thought, backstage, opened them up and it was the full lighting rig layout (crosses etc), with bulbs, power etc, got it signed by all 4 plus Brian May who was there. Will dig it out sometime and post a pic.

Also hope, for the final gig, they reconcile with Bill

The 4 unreleased songs that didn't make 13 have found their way online.

    And so it begins.....(or ends)

    Statement from Bill

I must respond once again to inaccurate statements made by Geezer. I never received an offer to play the final show of The End tour with Black Sabbath. When the tour was confirmed, my management reached out to the Black Sabbath management to inquire as to whether or not they would like to discuss my participation in the tour. We were told there was no interest. That is last conversation we had with them regarding the tour.
I will say that I wouldn’t want to play only one gig when I am completely capable of touring. I would not validate their untrue statements about my health by playing only one gig. Also, I wouldn’t want to show up for only some of our fans and not for all our fans when I could have played multiple shows.
    -- Bill

They really should bury the hatchet here and have all 4 members close the band

Any idea when tour dates will be released?

I've never seen them live and they are top of the bucket list.

Is it any way likely they will play over here?

I take it you mean a second batch of Euro dates June most likely.

Currently their tour ends in Arizona in September so that's hardly gonna be the case somewhere between October-December you'd imagine theyll be back in Europe with dates in Birmingham to actually finish it off.

Hopefully they throw us a date when/if that happens when they did Belfast last time was December actually.

Aye, I ment in between or after the ones that are currently scheduled.

A trip to Prague or Krakow may be required.

It's not "officially" announced yet but I'm assuming end of next week. Waiting for show at Download to be completed naturally enough before they announce.

The fact that he massively abused his body for the last 50 years and that it's a miracle he is still alive has nothing to do with it I'm sure.

Same. Hopefully the €118 tickets are just blocks D/C/E and the rest of the seated are cheaper

Metallica and Iron Maiden possibly coming to Dublin in 2017 so Sabbath kicking off 2017 is pretty cool

    Oh hell fcuking yes.

Even the most expensive ones are still a lot cheaper than flights and accommodation in the uk.

It is a bit expensive and they are well past their peak, but I've never seen them, so I'm tempted by this, might be worth it to see Iommi on his own.

I wish I could get in a time machine and see the 1973 version of them :(

The singer they had for the seventh star album was OK but didn't suite the band

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,459 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Prices are mad, but Rival Sons playing too makes it good quality for me. Hope it isn't a fast sellout, but I'd be doubtful of that.

Glenn Hughes - "The voice of rock".

It was meant to be a Tony Iommi solo album but the record company made him release it as a Sabbath album.

Would love to see them again, saw them in 1990 at this concert, Brian May and Geezer played (as guests), tickets are a bit pricey though.
