Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

...and I absolutely love it :D Cannot believe how great this lens is, had a great time... though I'm not really used to 1.5kg worth of camera gear dangling from my neck while walking 20km across the mountains, so was more than a little sore :o

Here's a few of the first shots in anyway, any critique appreciated (:

It's light compared to the 2.8 versions so you got the right lens for your needs. Great shot's, love expressions on their faces.

very nice shots, I have the 70-200 2.8 and its really heavy, I don't use it much which is a shame ...

    Nice shots.
I made a big purchase the other week too. A 5dmk2 and 24-40 2.8 also went for the 70-200 f4. havent had much of a chance to play with it yet. Will post some soon :)
    Enjoy :)

Hi, Nice pics. Im also considering the f4 at the moment, any regrets not getting the f2.8 apart from the weight and price!!

Welcome to the club! I bought me this one two or three months ago and it's just amazing! But you're right, it gets a bit heavy after a few moments of carrying it around... :D

Indeed, I think it's finally time for me to invest in a black rapid XD

I have had mine for a few months now, great lense and very sharp.

As for the weight, you get used to it! But then again, my walk around lense is a 24-70 which I think weighs a good bit more.

nice photos, enjoy it. It's great to be able to get sharp photos with blurred background.
I bought a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 very recently and here's some photos from my first outing at Fota Wildlife Park.

I'm heading to the Galway Races tomorrow to get some photos.
