Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, What is the process and costs involved in getting ESB reconnected once a quote has been recieved from ESB networks. The connection has been disconnected for a little over 2 years and I'm expecting to get my ESB network quote this week.
    Thx..

As far as I know the list of prices is on ESB Networks website.

I think because it's been disconnected for over 2 years it's fairly expensive. Also it may require a new cert from a registered electrical contractor.

    Hi WMB7575,

ESB Networks are a completely separate company from ourselves, but I've checked their website and found the following links which should tell you what you need to know. The second link assumes you are a standard domestic customer looking to connect a single house on its own site. From your post I thought this would be the most relevant link.

    Hope that helps,

    Thanks,

    David.

Unfortunatly, since the property has been disconnected for over 2 years, it wont be as simple as having your electrician sending in a cert and registering with a supplier.
You will have to apply as if it is a brand new connection by filling out an NC2 form and sending it upto Garrycastle in Athlone along with an OS map and a Site Plan map (which you would have already done if you are waiting for official your quote). Assuming your property is a normal domestic property and within 500m of the nearest ESB pole or minipillar, you will get a quote of €1794 within 5 working days. Once you make the payment, the process will take 12 weeks (4 weeks planning, 6 weeks construction and 2 weeks metering is the break down for a new connection).
Then just like with a new connection, we would need a wiring certificite sent in by your own electrician and confirmation that the Underground Ducting is ready.
