What's the general consensus on who has a proper shot at winning this (AE that is)? Realistically we'd all like to see one of the Irish guys win.

On one of the most recent Cross Counters, Gootecks and Mike Ross were very dismissive of Poongko's Evo chances, and said that Americans have a lot more experience with good Seth players, and implied that they had personally beaten him (easily?) in the after hours matches.

Poongko ran riot at Shadowloo showdown, in what looked like a pretty stacked field... At the same time, I watched some casuals he played with Combofiend, who seemed to have the edge on him.

I think West Coast has it in the bag... Hard to bet against a team that has Combofiend, Viscant and Wong.

Yeah. It seems like the EC have an uphill battle.

I'm not sure who is actually attending evo but I'd have thought maybe Twisted Jago or Josh Wong would of been a better choice than Pr rog.

I'm not to be honest, he's still with EMP isnt he? I get the impression that the FG community in the US have a perticular distain for EMP. Admittedly he'd probably be a better choice than a few who are on there now.

Can't see Poongko winning to be honest, it would be nice to see though. My only hope is that Daigo doesn't win, not because it's Daigo but because if he wins it will be 'oh...that's surprising ' where as if someone else does it will be super hype

See, I'm the opposite. I don't want Poongko to win. I don't like the fact that he seems to lack any emotion whatsoever, but I think if he plays to the best of his ability we're guaranteed to see him in Top 8.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Daigo is going to win it this year either.

Yea there's a good chance he won't, lots of gief players and a few t. hawks that make it very likely he won't get into winners.
