RC Speed Boats - finding some water !

Just wondering if anyone is into RC speed boats (fast brushless electric) out there ?

I'm struggling to find a decent sized clean pond or lake to run mine

I've tried the pond in Dun Laoghaire several times but keep getting attacked by the Swans that live there (they seem to forget that some of my taxes help pay for their home and I should be able to use it too !)

I've used the fairly big lake in front of the Crown Plaza in Santry but that has become far to silted up with weeds and plants

I tried the Bull wall estuary but a lot of weeds at low tide

Ideally I'd like to stick to fresh water and ideally on the North Side of Dublin

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated !

    Thanks

Try Herbert Park. There are two model boat clubs there.
It also has swans, but they have learned how to manage protective swans.

Any idea the names of the clubs or if they have a web site / when they meet ?

    Saturday one club.
    Sunday the other.
