Hi, can anyone out there recommend a good orthodontist in Dublin area, preferably south Dublin city/ county? I'm hoping that one of the invisible braces systems will be suitable for me, but I'm very wary of those who will try sell me a treatment that's not in my best interest.....been caught out before. I know going with an experienced orthodontist that uses the various types of braces is wise so please please PM me any recommendations
    Thanks!

Strituck, I've deleted your whole post, names are not allowed and frankly the last line of your post is shill territory.

Didnt know i was not allowed to name practices so fair enough .

As for being shill , my post was sincere and based on experience. And as for the last line of my post , sorry for trying to point out where somebody can save some cash.

Even though your intentions are good its best just to PM people who ask for recommendation with yours. Unfortunately Boards.ie is not free speech its publishing and we/you are liable for advice given publicly. Also those you recommend may not wish to be on the forum. Silly I know but its happened before.

    Hi guys,

I am currently thinking about getting braces so would really appreciate if anyone could PM me some recommendations for orthodontists in Dublin. I am really nervous about getting them so a good recommendation would really help.

Also does anyone know any ortho's who do not charge for consultations as i would like to shop around price wise for type??
    Thanks for any advice/recommendations

    Look up www.orthodontics.ie

It gives a list of specialist orthodontists, you should be able to get a price guideline over the phone before even having a consultation

    Hi There,

I was recently referred to <No Names> I've had my inital consulation and he does the clear braces on the top. You wont be able to get them on the bottom though, you have to get the steel ones. The quote I got was a tiny bit above what I was expecting, but not by much. He told me this figure will not change at all, even if it takes longer or less. I'm 100% confident he will do an excellent job and with the technology and staff they have, I'm willing to pay that bit extra to get a job well done. He is also very flexible with a payment plan and very helpful with regards to the Med 2 form. I would definitley recommend him anyway, so far so good. :D

    Hi guys,
I have a small overbite and kind of a smaller chin profile
somethink like the pic on the left, even a bit more
    http://www.geroulis.com/media/rokgallery/d/d958c067-b924-4eaa-8402-159acbf32ed2/chin-implants-1.jpg
could an orthodontist advise me on weather this needs chin surgery or chin implant.
My teeth look pretty ok, so I wouldn't go trough braces if not needed (I am sure they would say I do need them having narrow bite) and this is purely for cosmetic reasons.
Please advise and pm me with a good orthodontist

Chin implants are not a great idea with this and it looks funny in real life, you need jaw surgery which sounds scary but really is not. A good orthodontist with experiance in surgical cases will be very able to bring you through this I will send a PM.

The lingual braces work the best too check out their technology on lingual systems.com and they will give you an appropriate orthodontist on their doctor locator. Superb healthcare costs double the normal brace.

i didnt even now stuff like that was possible. that is a seriously good improvement. If i had the money i might consider it. presumably there would be a lot of orthodontic work required to get the bite correct?

    Hi all

Thinking of going the lingual route. If anyone could recommend an orthodontist in Dublin (ideally in D2 / D4 but willing to travel) it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!
