My Aunt is head nurse in the endoscopy (spelling?) unit. I hope it pulls through. Still hard to justify the prices of the place these days.

Hopefully it will be saved and won't be another white elephant in the city.

Here is a link from the Irish Times

It seems it will be business as usual for the time being anyway.

I was talking to a chap earlier who said he was told they are owed a small fortune by the HSE.
Anyone know or hear anything about that?

Talking about it on RTE news. "Sole purpose of the receivership is to secure its future"

No, the cancer service is a separate service from the rest of the place.

terrible news. Hopefully it will not end up lying idle, although couldn't see that happening. Another crowd would surely take it over?

When I heard the news that was the first thing that popped into my head. Then someone else told me they heard the same thing.

I would well believe it. HSE are desperate to pay private hopsital the money they own.

The private health insurance companies like VHI pay up straight away. As I used Whitfield once and a week later I got a copy of the bill and a receipt to say VHI had paid Whitfield.

If the hospital goes it be an absolute disgrace, first of all the job losses, secondly it is a top class facility and also by patients going there it helps easy the burden somewhat on Ardkeen.
