On Sunday, the 28th of August 2011, Kilcullen will be hosting its second annual “Kilcullen River Festival”.

Set up by an enthusiastic group of local business people, the Kilcullen River Festival Committee are dedicated to organising, promoting and delivering an enthusiastic fun filled family day out for the whole community.

Last years first river festival was a huge success and was attended by thousands of people.

Reptile Zoo
River Obstacle Course (run by the defence forces)

The Lions Club Annual Duck Race

Thanks to whoever posted the link up below. It's all systems go here on the festival committee. Here's a running schedule of events and what to expect on the day.

All day events include: Taste of Kilcullen, Street Performers, Army Display, Ask The Vet Pet Stall, Farmers Market and Craft Fair with over 30 stalls, Water Activities, Reptile Zoo, Face Painting, Puffer Train, Quasar Arena, Water Bumpers, Paint Ball, Sumo Wrestling and water Zorbing.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

12.00pm – Festival Begins

1.45pm – Childrens Magic Show

2.00pm – Battle of the Bands

2.45pm – Childrens Magic Show

3.00pm – Lions Club Duck Race

3.45pm – Childrens Magic Show

4.00pm – Inter Pub Raft Race

4.45pm – Childrens Magic Show

5.00pm – It’s a Knockout Obstacle Event

6.00pm – Team Tug of War (In the river)

6.30pm – Inter Business Inflatable Race

7.00pm – Competition Winners Announcements & Festival Close

Hi Folks - We all had a fantastic day. Highlight were the Live Bands. It was great to hear the best of Irish Ballads filling the Streets of Kilcullen.
